That's right folks, amongst all the controversy in the world right now, Mosaic Experiment, steadfast and true, is now selling Tier 1 Tickets for adults 18 years and older for $120 until July 28th (or if we sell out first), and young adult tickets (13-17) at $70 until September 23rd.

Ticket Refund Details Unveiled

Since the announcement last week to cancel the in-person event this year, we have received an outpouring of messages and responses with an incredible show of support and solidarity for the most difficult decision we have had to make all year.

Thank you. All of you. You have our sincerest gratitude for the love and care each of you have shown us. This has most certainly been a humbling experience and we seriously cherish each and every one of you.

We know you have a lot of questions regarding ticket refunds and we have been working diligently to compile a FAQ to cover everything you might want to know; we truly appreciate your patience during this process.

𝐀: Under normal operating years, yes. However, we feel it’s best to refund as much of the ticket money as we are able to. We will be refunding all tickets sold, as close to the original ticket price as we can while still enabling us to continue in the future as an organization and an event. Due to operational expenses and non-recoverable processing fees, ticket refunds will be $82.00 for all tickets purchased in 2021. If you have a rollover ticket from 2020, your refund amount may not be the same due to different ticket pricing for that year.

𝐀: Ticket refunds will be issued between September 3rd and September 5th, 2021.

𝐀: Unfortunately, we will not be offering that as an option this year. We don’t yet know what 2022 may hold in terms of insurance costs, rental fees, what our event capacity may be, or even continuing public health concerns surrounding COVID-19 and want to make sure that access next year is open and equitable to everyone.

While we are not rolling over tickets this year, we would be extremely grateful and fully welcome if you wish to donate all or even a portion of your ticket refund to help us keep the experiment going. This money will greatly help everything from operational costs to art grants. Gift Ticket Match-up 2021

First and foremost we want to thank the community for working together to help us come up with a system to address this need over the course of an afternoon. Due to having to cancel our event last year and increased costs related to running the event, we were unable to provide low income tickets for 2021. Although we hoped the generosity of the community would help fill this gap, we failed to provide a space to facilitate such transactions.

With input from the community (special thanks to Lady Bacchus), we have come up with the following system. With this form you can:

1. Request assistance with acquiring a ticket

2. Offer assistance partially funding a ticket

3. Offer a gift ticket

If you choose to self-identify, you may indicate if you are part of a marginalized community on your ticket assistance request. If not, you may choose “prefer not to answer.” If you are offering assistance funding a ticket or gifting an entire ticket, you may indicate if you prefer your assistance be first allocated to someone in a marginalized community.

Why do you want to know if I am part of a marginalized community?

We are seeking to make our event as inclusive as possible and we understand that within marginalized communities there are wealth disparities and financial barriers in place and we would like to help those folks overcome those barriers where possible.

How to purchase a gift ticket:

If you know the intended recipient’s legal name and email address, purchase the ticket normally and fill in this information.

If you do not know the recipient’s information, fill out the name as “GIFT TICKET.” If you are intending that ticket for a specific person, you will have to complete the ticket transfer form once you have their information. If you use the Gift Ticket Match-Up form, we will facilitate the ticket transfer.

Please understand that submitting this form does not ensure a ticket or financial assistance. We will facilitate as many matches as we can until tickets sell-out and ticket transfers close.

Mosaic 2021 Tickets Are Now On Sale

It is time to purchase your tickets for Mosaic Experiment 2021: Off And On Again!

Can you fathom where we are at this moment? How far we’ve come to get here? Well, please fathom it quickly as there is a ticket cap of 450, they are selling well already and when they are gone they are gone.

EVENT UPDATE: Will We Burn In 2020?

We assured you we would have a decision on Mosaic Experiment 2020 in July and it is time to share that decision and answer some of your questions.

After much consideration and discussion by your departmental leads, Mosaic Experiment has been cancelled for 2020. We sincerely wanted to see you face-to-face, but this simply is not the time. Thinking through each of the options and watching as situations worsen across the country as they relate to covid-19, we cannot put our community at risk. We made our decision which was later cemented by the owner of the property who felt the risk and liability was too high to host our event at his location. We now join other events of our type looking toward 2021 with the hope that we can gather in person once again at that time.

For those of you who have purchased tickets, you have three options and you are free to do whatever works best for you. Mosaic Experiment, as an organization, has operating costs (storage rental, website & software fees, taxes) which persist through the year, burn or no burn. We've minimized those as much as possible but they are still a reality. What happens to your ticket now that the event is cancelled?

Option 1: Do nothing and your ticket will be refunded on 8/01/20.
Option 2: Donate this year's ticket money to help the organization pay for year-round operating costs.
Option 3: Rollover your ticket for next year. If you would like to donate or rollover your ticket, please email tickets@mosaicexperiment.com to communicate your decision.

If we do not hear from you, your ticket will be refunded on 8/01/20. Please know that you are ABSOLUTELY welcome to receive a ticket refund. If you choose to roll your ticket to next year or donate that ticket's value toward keeping our burn growing, we thank you. The choice is yours and we support whatever you decide.

Is this the last you will hear from us this year? Not even a little. We still have plans to take you "Through The Looking Glass" in a very different way October 1st-4th. Our upcoming organizational summer retreat and many of our plans may be virtual, but we are now working to build something special to share with you throughout our normal burn time. Details on that will be coming soon in August. Our community may be forced to evolve this year, but we will still find ways to share our creativity in the days ahead. Stay tuned!

If you have sold your ticket to someone else, you’ll need to pass on any refund that they are due. If you purchased a ticket from someone, please follow up with that person.
